There is an empty stall in our barn tonight. There is an emptiness on the farm. Each and every creature here felt the sorrow, the emptiness, the absence of our beloved Jed. As we grieve, the immense support we have received is giving us strength to get through this. Every message, text, and call. We are forever grateful for your support. Jed received the most loving, selfless act tonight. We let him go. He went with dignity, surrounded by love.
If you're new here, Jed was believed to be around 31 and came to us as an owner surrender. He received sanctuary here due to his age and health concerns. In his time with us he knew nothing but love. He will be missed dearly by each and every person who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Today we grieve. Tomorrow we move forward. We open our hearts to the next soul that needs us. That empty stall will once again be full. Full of hope, of love, and the promise of a new beginning.
