Justice Served!

On June 10th, over 30 starving horses were seized from Mr. Paul Kika in Spartanburg County. Of those, we took in two - Journey and Crue. They were days from death when they arrived here. Today, their abuser was found guilty on all counts and went straight to jail - justice was finally served for all those he neglected and abused. Journey is around two years old and mother to baby Crue. We also believe that Journey is already pregnant again - a result of the neglect they faced under Paul Kica's "care."

They have been steadily putting weight back on since arriving here, but they still have a long way to go. We receive no financial compensation from their abuser or the county and are relying solely on your donations to continue to give the best care possible to these horses. Today was a huge victory, but we will continue to fight for every horse in need.

Thank you to everyone who continues to follow us on this journey. Your donations make a huge difference and we couldn't do it without you.
